Each season high schools choose their Student Athlete of the Year. These winners are then candidates for the CIF Student Athlete of the Year. The award is given the to the best player that exemplifies and represents the sport, academic success and community support.
Julian High School's candidate, Phoenix Cruz, was selected as our conference's 2022-23 Student Athlete of the Year. Phoenix has participated at the Varsity level in Cross Country, Soccer, Basketball, and Track & Field during his four years at Julian High School.
